Prayer requests for September 5:
- Thressa Nieuwsma was transferred to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines early last week due to a recurrence of fluid around her heart. As the doctors consider the situation, they tend to think it might resolve itself in time. All in all, Thressa's recovery is progressing, although the process is becoming somewhat frustrating for her and her family. We keep them in our prayers.
- Ann De Boer suffered a relatively minor stroke early last week. The doctors believe that with some therapy she will be able to return back to her room at Hilltop. We pray for her continuing recovery.
- Mary Klyn was able to return home following her knee replacement surgery on August 23. We thank God for his healing mercies.
- Mae Vander Wiel will have knee replacement surgery on September 7 at Methodist West in Des Moines. We remember Mae in our prayers as she undergoes this surgery.
